It’s no news that the Wale Adenuga-produced television comedy series, Akpan And Oduma, a sitcom about two friends who have travelled from their village to Lagos in search of wealth gets viewers glued to TV as it details the everyday lives of the characters and the various situations they get into due to the culture-shock, their schemes, their naïveté as well as the occasional bad luck.

The popular Nigerian comedy web series in its latest season – Season 8 – is featuring guest appearances by prominent skit comedians, Baba Rex, Dat Warri Girl and Oyibo Rebel, and is expected to further thrill viewers.

Speaking about the new season, the producer, Wale Adenuga Jnr., said:  “There is always fun and excitement with the comical duo. The new set of hilarious episodes takes the duo through relatable issues currently trending across Nigeria.”

According to Adenuga Jnr., the fresh season would be available to audiences across the globe on YouTube from Monday, April 3.

“Each episode of this new season would debut on Mondays, exclusive to our YouTube Channel – ‘waptvchannel’ with over 160,000,000 views and over 500,000 subscribers. 

“The episode would be broadcast over the following week on wapTV’s digital satellite TV platforms: DStv 262, StarTimes 116, GOtv 102, FreeTV 751, PlayTV 275, and MyTV; at 9:00 – 9:15am, with a repeat broadcast at 9:00 – 9:15pm, Mondays – Thursday,” he added.

Other casts in the new season include regular supporting characters – Chief Olododo, Patoski, Sister Bridget, Brother Shangalo, Omonla, among other actors from different parts of the country.
