Brand unveils Nollywood’s Chioma Chukwuka as Ambassador

As part of efforts towards creating jobs for the teeming unemployed youths as well as repositioning Nigeria in the map of industrialization, Erisco Foods Limited has unveiled Nollywood star actress, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha as its Brand Ambassador.
While speaking at the event, which held at the corporate headquarters of the company in Lagos, President/Chief Executive Officer of the company, Chief Eric Umeofia, called on Nigerians to always patronize made in Nigeria products to grow the local economy, stem youth restiveness and create employment for our teeming youths.
He stressed that most developed countries got to where they are by supporting local manufacturing as the only means to stabilising the local currency, adding that the current craze of Nigerians for anything foreign would not help the country’s economic growth.
Chief Umeofia reiterated that the long term and sustainable solution to the myriad of challenges facing the Nigerian economy would be to fully support local manufacturing, especially in areas the country has comparative advantage.
Speaking further, Umeofia said the choice of Chukwuka-Akpotha as the face of Erisco Foods Limited was based on her personality, values and influence among young Nigerians, adding, “The choice of Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha is a true reflection of the fact that she has exciting personality that embodies the values and strength of the Nigerian woman. Having made her mark in the field of acting and as a good family woman, it is auspicious to use her strength and values to promote the rich brand that Erisco Foods Limited is known for.”
Executive Director of Operations, Erisco Foods Limited, Mr. Nnamdi Umeofia also said that Chukwuka-Akpotha would bring her good reputation, good family values and hard work to positively influence Nigerians to always believe and patronise ‘made in Nigeria’ products to aid Nigeria’s industrial development.
In her response, the actress commended management and staff of Erisco Foods Limited for finding her worthy to be the Brand Ambassador of the foremost industrial giant and pledged to put in her best to make Nigerians see reason why they must patronise Erisco Foods products to grow the economy.
