At Industry Nite, Omo Akin, Skales Rock Everyone On Dance Floor

IT was indeed a night of fun as this week’s edition of Industry Nite, held at the Spice Route, Victoria Island, with pop singer, Omo Akin headline the event.

 The pop singer gave a good account of himself and proved that his rising profile was no fluke as he delivered his bunch of singles backed up with a live band.

   After rocking the crowd, Omo Akin brought Baseline act Skales on stage, and gave a good account of his recent rating in the industry, performing his new two singles Je Kan Mo, and I Am For Real. He ended his set with his street banger Shake Body.

    Skales in the midst of his performance revealed why he is close to the Omo Akin. He said the pop star held him on when things were rough for him. “Last year it was hell for me. I went through ups and downs and stuffs like that till God blessed me. Omo Akin is one of my real brothers that held my back. When I was broke he was always there for me. Big shout out to him,” he said.

    After acknowledging Omo Akin’s contribution to his life, the pair went on to climax the night with collaboration, performing Ijo Oloti. 

     Omo Akin began the new year with the release of video to his previously released single, Ta Lo Sobe featuring Shadow D Don, Dotstar and one half of the Choc Boys, Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince.

    The singer has been able to make a name for himself in the Nigerian music scene in the UK since his introduction in 2010. In 2011 he stayed consistent, released some good joints and displayed his personality on some of his visuals, Public Announcement, Saye, Punchline, which helped keep him dominant in people’s minds whenever they thought Naija artistes in UK. And since 2012, when he moved back to Nigeria, he has and still put in works that makes him relevant in the music industry.

    This week’s edition of entertainment stakeholders gathering and party was hosted by radio OAP Uche Sensei, while DJ Spinall was on the console as usual and rocked the audience with the best of Naija music.
