Katsina State youths empowered at Mindset Reset Workshop

Youths in Katsina State have been equipped with transformative entrepreneurial skills and mindset development at the recently held Mindset Reset Workshop, designed to position them as innovators, job creators, and future economic leaders.

According to a recent media statement, the workshop was held on 2nd August 2025, convened and facilitated by two business experts — Othman Abdulrasheed and Rahanatu Ahmad — to empower youths across the state with the mindset and tools needed to become innovators, job creators, and builders of transformative businesses.

The event, themed “Launch of Entrepreneurship and Reset Mindset in Katsina State,” brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, business enthusiasts, and stakeholders in youth development.

It was supported by Her Excellency, the Wife of the Katsina State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Dikko Radda, who graced the workshop as the Special Guest.

In her remarks, Her Excellency, Radda emphasized the importance of equipping young people not only with business skills but also with the right mindset to succeed.

“We need to raise a generation of job creators, not job seekers—visionaries who will transform not just their lives, but the economy of Katsina State and the nation,” she said.

The event was sponsored by the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), whose support made the impactful engagement possible.

Further mentioned in the statement, the core objective of the event was clearly outlined as laying a foundation for a future where the youths of Katsina evolve beyond traditional trading into roles as visionaries, innovators, and business builders who drive economic and social impact.

Widely known as the “King and Queen of the North,” Abdulrasheed, Founder and CEO of Business Leadership Consulting, and Ahmad, Founder of Turaren Wuta by Ray and Rays Business Lab, led intensive sessions on mindset transformation, entrepreneurial leadership, and building sustainable businesses.

In his statement, Abdulrasheed stated: “This is more than a workshop; it’s a shift. If we can change the way our youths think, we can change the direction of our economy.”

On her part, Ahmad underscored in the statement the importance of internal growth as a foundation for external success.

“You cannot build a great business with a limited mindset. Our goal is to challenge these young minds to think beyond survival—to start building legacies,” she noted.

Participants engaged in practical sessions designed to help them reflect, refocus, and refine their entrepreneurial goals.

The workshop also spotlighted the importance of collaboration between government, private sector experts, and community leaders in driving entrepreneurial reform.

With KASEDA’s funding and institutional backing, and the support of the Governor’s wife, the event set a precedent for sustainable youth-focused interventions in the state.
