Basket Mouth Did Not Lie…
Popular Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Bright Okpocha, aka Basket Mouth, raised a mini storm recently when he went on a live TV programme and alleged that some Nigerian movie producers have been short changing streaming platform, Netflix and killing creativity by collecting millions of naira, which they use in buying cars and houses and then later churn out ‘wishy washy’ movies. This allegation may have come at a time that Netflix has reportedly announced its intention to exit Nigeria.

Well, T4T is saying here that Basket Mouth did not in any way tell a lie. During the time of a former Nigerian president who was very ‘kind’ and ‘generous’ to Nollywood practitioners, T4T knew of some producers he was close to who benefited from the loan that president made producers to have access to. Two producers (one has passed away) quickly ran to Lekki and bought houses. They changed cars and they were coming to the Island to hangout with T4T and others like overnight big boys. They shot some third rated Nollywood home videos and that was it. The third producer, a popular actor too, did not bother to produce any movie. It was when that particular president left office and a new one came who threatened to probe the grant abi na loan, that all of them who benefited from the scheme started scrambling and running around like chickens without heads. So, Basket Mouth did not say anything new neither did he lie. Na Netflix nor wise.

Charly Boy Again!
AREA Fada, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, told the world during the week that he had ‘Prostate Cancer’. T4T has no reason to doubt CB’s claim, but truth is, if you believe that “70 Years Old Man’(apologies to Asari Dokubo who owns the copyright to that now popular phrase), you will believe just anything. And don’t forget that CB reportedly made this revelation when he launched his foundation to tackle prostate cancer.

Anyway, in case you guys forgot, CB had once upon a time claimed to be the head of the mythical Illuminati in Nigeria. Same baba had told the world he sleeps and wakes up inside a casket and are you forgetting the amorous pictures he took with a younger TV host, Denrele, which sparked a controversy that he was gay? CB, gay? Kikikikikikik, then you don’t know him. Well, someone (not T4T) said he needed something to sell his Foundation with and what better way to do that than to claim he had or has prostate cancer?

Please, don’t get T4T wrong o, he is not saying that CB is lying o, no, far from it. CB does not lie, no never, he sometimes don’t just let you know the true picture of things. Sometimes o!

Nigerian Pastor Who Commands Hurricanes and Storms
T4T was watching a video online during the week where a popular Nigerian preacher (go and find his name by yourself) was saying he used his powers(or God’s power) to prevent a hurricane from landing in a particular US city and a storm that would have delayed his wife from flying back to Nigeria! Wow! We truly have very powerful men of God in Nigeria o, aside the one with “so many powers” that he has not even touched.

T4T is not a Christian, but he knew that somewhere in the holy book of the Christians called the bible, Jesus once told a raging storm to “Peace, be still”! And that was how the storm receded even when his Disciples were fretting and shivering in fear. T4T is very happy that in his lifetime, he witnessed (or rather heard of) a similar miraculous feat like that of Jesus and it was done by a Nigerian!

But wait o, why don’t all the powerful men of God not come together and pray down the dollar rate to naira, even with all the powers they have especially the ones so powerful enough to stop hurricanes in far away America?

Maybe That Guy Should Face His Comedy Skits Instead Of…
THERE is this comedy skits maker, Naisboi. Well, he is an average comedy skits maker by the way, but lately, he has been struggling to be a singer. T4T has been seeing his music videos and it reminded him of Jide Obi, Felix Liberty and even that Baby Walacolombo guy, Alex Zitto; but Naisboi is a 2024 version of those guys of about 30 years ago. Now, imagine yourself listening to a modern day version of Chris Okotie who is trying to play “Show Me Your Backside” in a funny way, in 2024!

Who will advise this young man to jejely face his comedy skits making and find out ways to improve on it instead of this self torture he is subjecting himself and others to?
