According to a statement by the organisers: “WOMAN RISING 2015 is the fifth in the IWD celebration series, which The Life House began in 2011. The IWD celebrations have infused various aspects of the arts -literature, visual art, dance, film) over the past five years and this year we are proud to continue in that tradition. We are planning an uplifting and connecting weekend featuring the most exciting female artists and artistes – for the enjoyment of the entire city, men and women alike.”

“We continue to be inspired by strategic partnerships with our friends, sponsors and artists to present a high quality and carefully curated programme in 2015.”

This March, all can expect an intimate evening of fantastic live music performed by an all-women line up; the presentation of an award winning woman-inspired and woman-made film and our landmark exclusive networking brunch…all encapsulated in the Woman Rising 2015 Music Concert and Arts Weekender.

WOMAN RISING is an integral arts development and performance event at the core of The Life House’s women’s development vision and was designed to further buttress the mission of community development and capacity building through music and musicianship.
