Dapo-Olumide[1]-CopyTHERE are still whispers on the whereabouts of the former managing director of the defunct Virgin Nigeria, Captain Dapo Olumide.

His fans are worried that nothing has been heard of the American-trained pilot since he left the former national carrier after its acquisition by the new owner.

Further dig on the handsome pilot confirmed he must have gone underground to strategise on his bid to come to the industry with a strong statement.

Some countered the aviation expert is somewhere cooling off and is yet to decide on what to do next.

Olumide, one of the respected personnel in the industry with a track record, was appointed in 2009 by the board of Virgin Nigeria as managing director/chief executive officer at the expiration of the contract of Conrad Clifford.

Olumide, with over 30 years experience, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, United States (US) in 1980.

He had a brief stint as a banker with the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), specifically in the area of transport and infrastructure project development
