After dropping an instant classic debut in 2020, one might have imagined that it will be impossible to extend that fiery run. However, with his latest album dubbed, The Brother’s Keeper, Chike proves his mettle as a vocal enigma.

According to him, the entire album is a reflection of life after the success of his acclaimed debut, Boo of the Booless. In this record, Chike tells multiple stories on love and life, from the perspective of a lover, friend, and relative.

Reflecting on the journey behind the album, he tells WeekendBeats, “the oldest song on the album was written about four years ago, and the last song was finished in July of 2022. So, recording the album was a tough and emotional phase for me.”

Produced by a crop of maestros, DeeYasso, Tee-Y Mix, Killertunes, Echo the Guru, Louddaaa, Sagzy Afroshii, Lord Sky, and Masterkraft, The Brother’s Keeper radiates as a deserving sophomore, and an intimate body of work.
