Fusion Records, an independent record label company have announced their entry into the Nigerian music market. The label’s launch was marked by the signing of two pioneer artists, King Six and Mani Lapussh. The label will be managed under the leadership of Chukwunonso Nkeonye and David Adeyemi.

Although the entertainment sector does not come close to crude oil in terms of export revenue, the Nigerian government has deduced that the industry at its current pace possesses the capacity to generate up to $10 billion annually. The sector has proven to be a promising one and every business minded professional has prepared their strategy to tap into this booming sector. Fusion Records have played their cards right through their decision to be a part of the industry at this time and also, with their decision to do so under their chosen management.

Why is this so? Both label representatives are two highly sought for music business executives in Nigeria. Chukwunonso Nkeonye, former Head of Marketing at The Plug Entertainment and the founder of Kvktus Media, a digital marketing and video production company with proven credits on ‘Timeless’ by Davido, ‘African Royalty’ by Flavour, ‘Hypertension’ by Bella Shmurda amongst others. David Adeyemi, known for his founding company, Pizzazz Media, a marketing and PR firm dedicated to providing key result driven marketing strategies tailored uniquely to fit each artiste and their needs. The label is a newly established organisation with no musical works attached to it yet but the history and resourcefulness of the label heads have gained the undistracted interest of industry stakeholders.

Their administration kicked off with the discovery and development of the signed artists, Sixtus Chidera Ohajiogu and Emmanuel Ede popularly known as King Six and Mani Lapussh. A common fact worthy of note between both artists is their versatility. King Six and Mani Lapussh are artists that have spent their underground days exploring and mastering various sounds and genres to the point where they proudly settle in their own found niche whilst exploiting the influences of the other sounds as an added advantage.
