CIPM confers fellowship on WACOT’s Umar Mohammed

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has recognised the commitment and dedication of the General Manager, Human Resources, at WACOT Rice Limited (WRL), Dr. Umar Faruk Mohammed, with its highest individual award.

At its 55th International Conference and Exhibition Gala & Awards Night, held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, recently, the CIPM conferred Mohammed with a Fellowship, acknowledging his immense contributions to human relations practices and development in Nigeria.

It was a honour well deserved for Mohammed, whose career journey has been marked by exceptional contributions to human resources management across diverse sectors, including Manufacturing, Engineering, FMCG, Agro Allied, Consulting, and Law.

As General Manager of Human Resources overseeing WACOT Rice Limited, a TGI Group company, Mohammed has played a crucial role in steering the company’s human capital management and aligning them with global best practices.

Chairman of WACOT Rice, Farouk Gumel, felicitated with Mohammed on his Fellowship, noting that it is well deserved. He said: “We take immense pride in Dr. Umar Mohammed’s conferment as a Fellow by the CIPM. We thank CIPM for recognising one of our own.”
