One of Africa’s leading entertainment icons, Dapo Oyebanji, popularly dubbed D’Banj, and his media company, DKM Media have signed with media multinational, CSA Global, on a deal to co-manage all the artists on their roster, including himself and his C.R.E.A.M. entertainment platform.

D’banj avers that the deal came as a “true media & entertainment collaboration across the continent”, citing his long-lasting relationship with his new partners as a motivation.

“As an artist I have enjoyed working with CSA for many years and I believe that when two strong entities come together, the table is set for success!”

The signing will include the exploration & expansion of various business ventures between CSA and DKM Media as well as further promotion, releases, tours, bookings and brand endorsements for “the Koko Master” himself.

The first to take modern Afro-beats to the world, D’Banj became globally known for his 2012 hit single “Oliver Twist” off his 2013 D’Kings Men album. The single also hit a number of Top 10s in many chart ratings, locally and globally, debuting in the U.K. Singles Chart in May 2012. The same song was nominated for the World Music Awards (WMAs), in 2014.

More recently D’Banj was one of the star performers at the Global Citizen Festival, held in Johannesburg, in December 2018, alongside Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Ed Sheeran. The multi-award winning singer recently refreshed his teeming fans with a single featuring Africa’s female star, Tiwa Savage, titled Shake It.

The world-renowned artiste, D’banj also founded the Creativity, Reality, Entertainment, Arts and Music (C.R.E.A.M.) platform, in 2016, to help find and showcase African talents who might have difficulty affording huge publicity for theirselves. One of such beneficiaries is ‘Mr. Real’ who went viral via uploading his music video on the platform, in 2017.

With offices in Cape Town, London and Los Angeles, CSA specializes in multi-culture urban relevance, representing iconic artists and stars.
An integrated service offering includes talent management and communications, forging culture-shifting brand alignment opportunities.

“The relationship with D’Banj has been five years in the making and it’s a blessing to work with such an industry leader. We’re excited to be working with him and DKM on the next chapter and help grow the continent’s entertainment industry,” says Davin Phillips, Executive Director of CSA Global talent.
