A person who never travels is as good as not living their lives to the fullest. This is because life is like a whole book and anyone who never travels has not left the first page of their life for the next one.
These are the words of Olufunso Ekundayo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Touch Down Travels during the launch of the firm’s Lekki Experience Centre in Lagos during the week. According to the Travel expert, the launch of the Lekki Experience Centre is not just a branch or location, but a full experience centre where end-to-end of all travel needs such as flight, hotel, airport pickups etc. are catered for.
“So, what we are doing is help people live their lives to the fullest by helping them run out of their passport pages over and over with topnotch experiences of different countries. This is when you can say you have truly lived. So, we are giving authentic experiences of destinations that allow you to experience their food, culture, lifestyle etc.” Ekundayo said.
He continued: “We are also leveraging technology as a game changer which allows you to experience a location even without travelling there using virtual reality tools. The idea is to help people acquainted with where they are going – experience the place before you travel. You also get best advice as regards to visa eligibility. We have been doing this for the past 29 years. We have a strong niche in corporate travels; however what we are trying to do differently is to bring this experience to every individual beyond the corporate travels. We are focused towards helping people see travel the way it truly is beyond just carrying their luggage and getting on the plane to their destination but the all-encompassing curated experiences. We are providing value added service that is affordable. We are not oblivious of the fact that some people want to travel but can’t afford it and this is why the experience centre gives an opportunity for easy pay which is installment payment. This solves the problem of finance – we get them to book their trip first and lock them down by paying in installment.”
Ekundayo further said: “At Touch Down, we understand that not everybody can afford to travel but we strongly believe that everybody deserves to travel. However, the two major problems are availability of good deals inventory and enablement in terms of financial capacity through our payment packages that allow people to be able to take advantage and travel.”
