Within a year of its opening, Norway’s avant-garde barbering franchise, Edge Barbershop Trondheim, has received a favourable 4.8 out of 5 on Google reviews as “the most-rated barbershop” and has also copped a 4.9 rating on Fresha, a full-service booking app for beauty and wellness.

Following the grand opening of the Edge Barbershop Trondheim, its CEO, Jeffter Ohene Kwaah, can count among his celebrity clients American rappers and musicians, including Rick Ross, Wyclef Jean, The Game, and Xzibit. Others are American standup comedian and actor Aries Spears, singer Justin Bieber, and Ghana’s award-winning rapper Sarkodie.

Jeffter Ohene Kwaah, has proven that it is possible to do many things and excel at them.

The Norwegian-Ghanaian has already fulfilled his childhood ambition of being a footballer, having played for the Black Stars of Ghana’s under-20 team in 2010 and as a professional footballer at Norwegian club Strindheim TF.

He also ventured into the world of modelling, and for three years he was signed by New York-based Surface Models Management. As a trained plumbing engineer, he works for Caverion, Norway’s company known for technical installations, maintenance, and operations in buildings.
As an astute entrepreneur, Kwaah and his partner, Isaac Boadi, a specialist barber, founded the Edge Barbershop and turned it into a thriving business with a presence in three of Norway’s major cities of Oslo, Lillestrom, and Trondheim.

Although the Edge Barbershop brand has proven its uniqueness by having a barber school based in Oslo, its Trondheim branch has taken the brand up a few notches.

Edge Barbershop Trondheim, occupying a space of 280 metres square, is reputed to be Norway’s biggest barbershop. Its grandness is not about its size alone, however. Its other fascinating dimensions include a coffee lounge, a grooming store, a team of specialist barbers (including a female barber) that worked from 10 am to 6 pm, from Monday to Saturday and the feat of being featured in local newspapers.
