TO enhance the living conditions of people living in poor communities in Lagos, a community engagement firm, FmAdabale Consulting Limited (FmACL), has launched community tours and sensitisations (CTS) at Makoko community in Lagos State as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Speaking on the relevance of the CTS, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FmACL, Mr Olufemi Adabale, said the “vision of CTS is to enlighten communities to use intrinsic ability to meet their needs.”

In a statement made available to The Guardian, Adabale said: “CST Mission is geared towards the reduction of communities’ issues through professionalism, communal effort, governmental and non-governmental effort. And most of all the objectives of CST are to meet the needs of the people at the grassroots’ level; to coach community folks within the channels where their needs can be met, to tour vulnerable communities and sensitise them on how to receive attention and to mobilise communities on self-help through social capital exploration.”

He added that CTS focus in Makoko in the course of touring and sensitising will be centered on ‘Clean-Up Makoko: Self Help Initiative.’
