The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has said its newly introduced 3367 toll-free call centre received 2,843 public engagements within the first 30 days of operation, as the agency moves to strengthen public feedback and accountability.
LASTMA said the Digital Centre, which began operations on June 28, processed enquiries, commendations, complaints, accident reports and requests for information between June 28 and July 29, 2026.
According to the agency, the breakdown showed that 1,047 calls were enquiries, while 709 callers commended the agency’s services.
It also recorded 468 cases that were successfully resolved, 400 reports of road accidents and vehicle breakdowns, 163 formal complaints, 11 requests for information and 45 unsuccessful calls caused mainly by abandoned calls, network interruptions and technical issues.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, described the public response as an indication of growing confidence in the agency’s efforts to improve service delivery, transparency and accountability.
He also announced the establishment of a Physical Complaint Centre at the agency’s headquarters in Oshodi to complement the toll-free call centre.
According to Bakare-Oki, the facility provides members of the public with an avenue to report traffic-related issues, make enquiries and submit complaints, including those concerning the conduct of LASTMA officials.
“The Physical Complaint Centre complements our 3367 Toll-Free Call Centre by providing members of the public who prefer face-to-face engagement with a convenient platform to report traffic-related concerns, seek clarifications and lodge complaints regarding the conduct of our officers,” he said.
He added that every complaint received through either platform would be investigated in line with established administrative procedures and the principles of fairness.
Bakare-Oki reiterated the agency’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, extortion, abuse of office and other forms of misconduct, assuring residents that any officer found culpable after due process would face disciplinary action in accordance with public service rules.
He said the toll-free call centre and the Physical Complaint Centre form part of LASTMA’s broader reforms aimed at strengthening public trust, improving communication with road users and promoting transparency in traffic management.
The LASTMA boss urged motorists, commuters, transport operators, corporate organisations and other stakeholders to make effective use of the agency’s feedback channels, noting that public participation is essential to achieving safer roads and more efficient traffic management across Lagos State.
