Association honours former Guardian MD, Bonuola, others with community service awards

Former Managing Director of The Guardian, Mr. Oyinlade Bonuola was at the penultimate weekend honoured with an award by Area 8 Residents Association (ARA), OPIC Estate, Agbara during the grand finale of ARA Week celebration in recognition and appreciation of his selfless service to the community.
Former Managing Director of The Guardian, Mr. Oyinlade Bonuola was at the penultimate weekend honoured with an award by Area 8 Residents Association (ARA), OPIC Estate, Agbara during the grand finale of ARA Week celebration in recognition and appreciation of his selfless service to the community.
Bonuola, who is one of the first residents in the area was rewarded for continually contributing to the development of the community. Other residents who were honoured included late HRH Oba Rauf Raji-Suleiman, late Mr. Mark Unuigboje, Mr.Akpokodje Wilson, Pastor Alebiosu Idowu, Chief Julius Ogunmakinde, Mr.Segun Akim Aileru, Mr. Demola Kolawole, Engr Sikiru Nojeem, Mr. Adebowale Odunayo, Surg Cmdre Olaniyi Oladapo (Rtd), Mr.Oladokun Jimoh and Chief Soji Longe.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of ARA, OPIC Estate, Mr Ayodele Arogundade, expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the association’s week celebration.
“This week has been nothing short of remarkable as we have come together to celebrate the strength of our community, to honour the visionaries who have led this association, and to embrace a future filled with greater possibilities.
“Over the past three days, we have engaged in fruitful discussions during our business summit, highlighting the entrepreneurial potential within our association. We have demonstrated our commitment to healthy living through sports, and we have extended care to one another with the provision of medical treatments. Each of these activities is a testament to the ideals of unity, progress, and well-being that define who we are as ARA.”
Arogundade noted that the association’s journey over the years has been a collective effort, and the week’s celebration is a reflection of its strength as a united and forward-looking community.
One of the awardees, Chief Soji Longe, thanked the executive of the association for honouring him despite he has relocated from the community. He added that when he was supporting the execution of projects and contributing to the development of the community, he never knew people were taking records of his deeds.
“So, wherever you are people are taking records of whatever you are doing especially what positively affects humanity and even after your exit, people will continue to talk about it.”
