Kayode Olagunju honoured
There are two kinds of taste in the appreciation of creative work: the taste for emotions of surprise and the taste for emotions of recognition. Both feelings were all what prominent road marshal, Dr. Kayode Olagunju, of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) enjoyed recently when the commission honoured him.
Based on his immense contribution to the institution, the gregarious and eager beaver was awarded the Double Gold FRSC Merit Awards for being the head of Department of Policy, Research and Statistics (PRS), which came top in 2014 and 2015 annual performance assessment of RSHQ departments and corps offices.
In his thank you message, Kayode, who is the husband of beautiful, bold and brainy broadcaster, Seun, dedicated the awards first to Almighty God and to the PRS officers and men nationwide.
Kayode holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Transport Geography from the University of Lagos, a Masters in Transportation Studies from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
And despite this huge achievement, the 53-year-old maverick is not resting on his oars. Every year, he makes sure he ups his ante, attending different seminars across the world to horn his skills.
