Call it destiny or sheer providence but Ibim Semenitari, the former Information Commissioner under the regime of former governor Rotimi Ameachi in Rivers State, happens to be one of those few people who grew up amid the frills of wealth, fame and a wonderful streak of luck. All good things of life were thrust upon her at an early age.

From the Eldorado of wonderful childhood through the luxury of an extraordinary adolescence, the former journalist rose to the national consciousness ccourtesy of her boss, Rotimi Amaechi who is presently a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Having swum with sharks without being eaten alive, the fearless queen of journalism has now found favour before men hence she is now back on the grind. She is presently the Acting Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
