Make excellence standard, Sanwo-Olu, others tell 15th PILA President


The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has charged the new leader of the Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), Bimbo Onakomaiya, whob was sworn in as the 15th President of the association to set a new standard of excellence that would project PILA as the guiding force of esteemed insurance networks.
   
Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, during the investiture of Onakomaiya and 11 other executives held in Lagos recently, stressed the need for the leadership to make positive impacts, as such appointment is not merely a title. “It is a testament to exceptional leadership qualities, strategic vision and unwavering commitment to drive a positive change in the sector. As the president, we have no doubt that you will continue to lead with integrity, passion to lead the association to a brighter future.”
   
He noted that the success of the PILA now rests on the shoulders of the new executives, urging them to demonstrate abilities to navigate complex challenges and inspire others to excel.
  
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Insurance/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Olusegun Omosehin, described the change of baton in the leadership of PILA as a monumental occasion for the insurance industry in the company .
   
Omosehin who was represented by the Director Supervisor of NAICOM, Oluwatosin Adenike, appreciated the immediate past president, Nkechi Moore, for her steadfast commitment, passion and dedication towards repositioning the insurance industry in Nigeria as a key component of the financial services.

In her speech as the outgoing 14th president of PILA, Moore said that her administration sustained PILA’s vision, taking the association to higher levels.
