Manosky: ‘I only mediated in fight among Slimcase, Apex, Bionic’
Media personality and actor, Chigozie Manosky Anumudu, has said that he was only a mediator in the fight singer Slimcase had with Apex and Bionic over alleged copyright infringement, adding that he sought the attention and involvement of ace comedian, Ayo Makun (AY), in the rift.
“I saw to the collaboration of the Passmark song and never envisaged that fight was coming, but then it had already dawned on me that a panacea was to be sought. The AY brand quickly came to mind as I had worked as his special assistant back in 2014. I followed my instincts and called on AY, who didn’t disappoint but called the warring parties to amicable terms,” Manosky said.
Slimcase, in an interview with a music channel, HipTV, claimed that a few days to Christmas in 2020, he got a call from AY to come for a parley with the music duo, Apex and Bionic, which he obliged owing to AY’s father’s figure in the entertainment industry.
Manosky has had dealings with leading artistes, including YBNL head honcho Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide, when he signed Davolee in September 2016.
“Davolee and I crossed paths at Quilox Ultra Pool Party where he had come to perform on the night. I saw him freestyle to the mirror in the convenience and picked interest even though I didn’t understand anything as he did rap in his native Yoruba language.
“The rhymes and energy got me hooked. Two days later, he visited me in Festac and he ended up staying with me for about three months before proceeding to Hennessy Artistry on Beat FM, where Olamide listened to him battle with other rappers before developing interest in him,” he added.
