Renowned media personality John Egbokhan has called on Nigerians to stay hopeful and resilient in the face of the country’s ongoing economic difficulties. Speaking in a recent interview with The Guardian, Egbokhan shared his belief that the current hardships are temporary and will soon give way to better times.

“The storm will soon be over. I am encouraging Nigerians to hold on to their collective determination to surmount these problems that are facing us. We would get out of it in better conditions,” said Egbokhan, who has had an illustrious career in journalism, including serving as Head of News and News Editor at Inspiration FM Lagos.

John Egbokhan, who began his career at Vanguard Media Limited, publishers of Vanguard Newspaper, emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and adapting to the changing digital landscape. He particularly encouraged young people to make good use of social media platforms to create income opportunities. “Our youths should make use of their social media platforms wisely, as there are many opportunities that can bring income for them on these platforms,” he noted.

As a seasoned journalist and media consultant, Egbokhan highlighted the value of seizing opportunities, even in challenging times. “In as much as we are wont to say that things are difficult, there are people who take opportunities and are blessed in a time like this,” he said.

He concluded with a message of unity and faith, urging Nigerians to continue praying and working together for a brighter future. “This is the time for all of us to be united and work together towards achieving a greater Nigeria,” he added, calling for an end to tribalism and a collective effort to rebuild the nation.
