More Winners Emerge As Legend’s ‘Taste and Tell’ Berth s In Ibadan
ON the night he decided to end a three-year self-imposed hiatus from consuming Legend Extra Stout, 39-year-old Moshood Saheed Abiola, a native of Oyo, carted home a brand new 32-inch LED flat screen Television courtesy of Legend Taste And Tell Activation, an in-bar blind taste contest.
Abiola was one of the three winners at the Ibadan leg activation recently held in the Gentleman’s Quarters, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State. According to him, he was a regular consumer of the brand until three years ago when he decided to quit alcohol, and his reunion with Legend has proven to be a memorable experience.
“I am so happy that I won this beautiful Television. Legend is actually my preferred brand, but I stayed away from alcohol for three years. I just decided to take Legend because of my friends I am hanging out with,” he said.
He added, “When I was selected for the contest, I tasted the first stout and I knew immediately that it was Legend. I just went through the motion of tasting the others, but I stuck by my choice. Now my relationship with Legend will become stronger because of this fantastic gift.”
Abiola was not the only winner on the night; Solution Oguniyi and Adekunle Adeyinka, who also participated respectively in the contest, also went home with a refrigerator and a generator respectively.
Speaking on how they were able to correctly identify Legend from the other stout brands, both agreed that the rich foam head and the unique bitter taste were unmistakable features of the brand.
“There is something different about Legend; it is the smoothness and the unique bitterness. No other stout has these qualities so it was quite easy for me to pick it out from the lot,” Ogunbiyi, winner of the refrigerator said.
Adeyinka, winner of brand new generator, commended the brand for rewarding loyalty. “What else can I ask from Legend? I have been a loyal consumer for years and today it has rewarded me for my loyalty. I say a big thank you to Legend Extra Stout.”
With live music from fast rising live band, Wale Zion, a thrilling performance from Ijo Ishaga, a cultural troupe and rib-cracking comedy from De-Don and Mc Bash, while Gongo Aso, Pete pete and Street Credibility crooner, 9ice showcased a special performance, the vent was indeed memorable.
Senior Brand Manager, Stout and Life, Nigerian Breweries, Funsho Ayeni, said the Legend Taste And Tell Activation was organised to reward loyal consumers. “Legend has come to redefine the stout market. The brand has remained the fastest growing stout in the market. We owe this to the loyalty and support of the consumers, so we decided to say a big thank you to them through this activation,” he said.
