Mr Macaroni gives back to alma mata

Popular comedian and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, well known by his stage name, Mr Macaroni, has donated N500,000 to PEFTI Film Institute as a show of appreciation for what he gained from the institution as a student in 2011.

Popular comedian and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, well known by his stage name, Mr Macaroni, has donated N500,000 to PEFTI Film Institute as a show of appreciation for what he gained from the institution as a student in 2011.

He made the donation during the recently held PEFTI Arts Festival, a weeklong event that was held from September 5 – 10, at the PEFTI Film Institute, Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos.

Reacting to the gesture, PEFTI Managing Director, Abiola Adenuga said: “We are pleased at this kind gesture from Mr Macaroni. PEFTI is proud of everything he has achieved since he graduated.

“We also appreciate two other celebrities who attended – Judith Audu, producer of Just Not Married, Rattlesnake, Blood Sisters, The King’s Horseman and more; as well as Kayode Kasum, who graduated from PEFTI in 2011, and has gone on to direct Fate of Alakada, Quam’s Money, Soole, Sugar Rush, and other blockbusters.”

Established in 2004, PEFTI offers two-year National Innovation Diploma Programmes in Film and Television Production, Performing and Arts, and Music Technology, as well as a three-month and six-month professional practical training in Script Writing, Directing, Acting and Presentation, Music, Music Studio Production, Digital Photography, Cinematography, Video Editing, Styling, Costume and Makeup, and Producing and Production Management.

The institute operates a dual campus in Lagos and Ibadan, Oyo State respectively.
