Olamide, Phyno Take Centre Stage As Guinness Powers 2 Kings

OLAMIDE and Phyno recently set the social media space agog with the launch of their most anticipated collaboration for 2015 titled 2 Kings. The album launch is powered by Guinness, which both artistes are ambassadors on the Made of Black campaign platform, showcased the dexterity of the two leading rap artistes as they portrayed their distinct attitude and delivering the resounding lyrics to the delight of their fans.

OLAMIDE and Phyno recently set the social media space agog with the launch of their most anticipated collaboration for 2015 titled 2 Kings.

The album launch is powered by Guinness, which both artistes are ambassadors on the Made of Black campaign platform, showcased the dexterity of the two leading rap artistes as they portrayed their distinct attitude and delivering the resounding lyrics to the delight of their fans.

Officially released on April 1, 2 Kings album is the first collaboration between Olamide and Phyno since they both became Guinness Made of Black ambassadors. The duo renowned for their quest for excellence, fully expressed themselves in the album, stunning their fans with lyrics that has defined their individual styles and kept them on top of the rap game.

Music buffs and fans of the duo logged on to cloud9.com.ng, the official unveiling site to be part of the unique experience the Guinness platform offered its consumers and fans of the talented entertainers.

Speaking on Guinness’ partnership, Obinna Anyalebechi said the brand is passionate about Nigerians who go extra miles to demonstrate unique talent and live the ideology of Made of Black campaign and make their fellow Nigerians and indeed Africans proud.

He said, “The launch of 2 kings album shows that both Olamide and Phyno are the right choices for Made of Black campaign, Phyno is #madeofblack, because he dared to be different, standing up to pursue what he believed in; his dream and not wavering till he gets it. Phyno, went where many could not succeed and has made immense impact in the music entertainment industry.”

Both rappers had a fantastic run in 2013, receiving massive airplay on radio and DJ spins in the clubs. Their monster hit collaboration Ghost Mode is fans favourite, while the collabo Dope Money is a street anthem.

It would be recalled that Olamide and Phyno received the highest nominations at The Headies 2013, with the former bagging three awards and the latter, two. While Olamide is regarded as the king of Yoruba rap lyrics, Phyno controls the Igbo rap music scene.
