The rustic city of Suleja last Saturday roused to an evening of live music as the Glo sponsored Mega Music tour landed in the town. The telecom giant has been going round the country with a supersized musical concert that boost of Nigeria’s biggest musical acts.

Residents of sleepy town were more than surprised and elated to see some of some of their favourite acts like Flavour, Omawumi, Olamide, Runtown and Phyno, who gave a very good account of themselves, while thrilling them to best of their music and popular demand.

Held at the Tommy Hill Station Hotels, the show was anchored by Nollywood duo stars, Mercy Johnson-Okojie and Uche Jombo, with Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) making a celebrity guest appearance.

With DJ Neptune in control of the console, he showcased his skill and dexterity with the sound equipment turning the hall to a music factory. The audience on their part added to the fun by waving, screaming, swinging, stomping and even standing on their seats, as they sweat it out throughout the night with the artistes.

Marvin Record diva, Hadiza Blell, well known by her stage name, Di’Ja, opened the night with songs from her new album, One Talk. She also thrilled the audience with her other hit tracks including Aww, How can we be friends, Adaobi, Take Kiss and Air.

Up next after her was Runtown, who kept the audience on their feet with his Kolabo, Fijogbowo, Bend Down Pause, Superwoman and Suddenly hit tracks. Omawumi took over with great energy and doled out hot numbers to the delight of the audience. Her Bottom Belle track got the guest wriggling as they dance and sing along with her. Then came Flavour, who took the show to the next level.

Phyno and Olamide closed the evening with their collabo Fada fada. While Phyno was on the last line of the Fada fada track, his co-singer of the track and self-proclaimed ‘King of the Street’, Olamide came on the stage and the hall hall went frenzy. Both men embraced and Phyno yielded the stage to Olamide, who was in his best element.

The next stop for the concert is Akure, Ondo State capital. The telecom service provider enjoins fun seekers who desire to attend any of the show to use up to N2,000 airtime within a month and text for example, ‘MUSIC AKURE’  to the short code 207.
