Nwora-CopyIN a bid to create a platform for local talents in the state to showcase their talents and possible hit limelight, the Anambra Service (ABS), yesterday, staged the maiden edition of Made In Anambra (MIA), a celebration of homegrown music, comedy and entertainment in general.

Staged at the Emmaus House, Awka, Anambra State capital, the gig, which started featured fresh talents, who took their turns on stage to entertain the audience. From comedians to musicians, dancers… it was a fun-filled evening.

Indeed, the state is blessed with talents and with platforms such as MIA, most of these talents will surely break into the mainstream of the country’s showbiz industry.

According to the initiator of the project and MD/CEO of ABS Uche Nworah, the initiative is in line with Governor Willy Obiano’s resolve to play vital role in talent development.

“This is our own little way of supporting talents in the state and giving them a platform to showcase themselves. Having talent is one, but you need a platform like this to eventually launch yourself. As a media company, we also intend to air the programme on TV, which will give these artiste wider exposure. It’s something we plan to sustain and we hope the talents take advantage of this opportunity,” he said.
