‘How ‘Dear’ You!’
The How ‘Dear’ You in the headline is a common phrase used by Nollywood actors in most Nigerian movies.

In fact, T4T will bet with his tuketuke car that there is no Nollywood film you won’t get to hear it.

However, while some fringe Nollywood actors could be excused if they made this now-familiar blunder, not the stars. And so, T4T was watching this Yoruba movie entitled Lucifer, during the week, starring Bimbo Akintola, Antar Laniyan among other stars such as Kelvin Ikedugba and Aremu Afolayan.

Afolayan is a pretty big name in the Yoruba movie sector, well, that is in T4T’s estimation; but one was aghast when he exclaimed at a point in the movie; “How ‘dear’ you!”

Can someone please tell our movie stars that it is HOW DARE YOU, without the ‘dear’?

Bros Aremu, abeg, take note.

Smart Yul Edochie
IT is no longer news that Nollywood star Yul Edochie, son of acting legend, Pete Edochie, is running for president come 2023, even though some bad belle folks say he is a joker. Na dem sabi sha.

As part of the build-up to the official flag-off of his campaign, the younger Edochie has been busy online telling his fans and other voters why they should elect him as Nigeria’s president next year.

He posted pictures of other opponents, all older in age, and cancelled them out as ‘old’ and so unelectable. But he smartly omitted a popular aspirant who has been gunning for the top spot for over a decade now and signs are there that he will still run next year.

Why did Yul Edochie do that?

Someone who commented on the post said the actor is baiting the candidate who is ‘notorious’ for spraying dollars every election, so as to collapse his structure into his.

Why are people like this?
Anyway sha, why did Edochie not put the picture of that baba who is older than all other aspirants presently, in his photo album since old age is now a disease that stops people from running for public office?

Joe Biden, America’s president is older than all the aspirants Yul Edochie listed, same with Nancy Pelosi, the House of Reps speaker in the States.

Bros Yul, nobody will dash you power simply because you are young, and by the way, tru tru, if you nor dey bait the dollar man, why you nor put e pishor among the ‘old’ pipu wey you say dem don too old to rule Nigeria?

Anyway, who nor like dollars?

This Yoruba Actor Needs To Go
For Speech Training

YORUBA movie star Odunlade Adekola is one actor who has been consistent as well as talented. Even though he over acts most times sha, he is good at what he does.

But there is one problem about his acting that he needs to fix and fast too. Most people have this native tongue interference, it is normal, but for an actor and a big one for that matter, that MUST be fixed, because he or she is now a public figure who people take seriously, whatever he says in or outside movies.

So, how can one reconcile an Adekola proudly saying this in this movie titled ‘Amope Olounje’? “The ‘howner’ of the company will not tolerate indiscipline…”

It took T4T some seconds to figure out that the actor actually meant OWNER.

Haba bros, by now, you suppose don go for speech training and retraining na. Shame nor dey for garri market, abeg.

Anyway sha, the 2018 movie was directed by Wasiu Owoiya and it also featured Bose Akinola among others.

It Should Have Been An English Movie…
T4T was watching this Yoruba movie titled Asije Meji-Two Wrongs during the week. At a point, T4T was confused if he was on the wrong channel on the Pay TV but a closer look showed the ‘Yoruba’ label on the top left corner on the screen, if not, he thought it was either the DSTV Family or Epic channels that were airing the movie.

Why did T4T have that feeling? For over 10 minutes, Mercy Aigbe and Lateef Adedimeji were speaking ‘correct’ English. Curious, T4T decided to bear some more and after about an hour, it was just some pocket of Yoruba language that was spoken.

Bikonu, why did DSTV accept this movie as a Yoruba movie? It should have passed as a typical Nollywood English film na. How can Yoruba actors speak 90 per cent of English language in a supposed Yoruba movie? No na.
