If veteran Nollywood actor Ngozi Ezeonu was expecting everybody to clap for her after she seemingly humiliated two girls at an audition recently, then she was dead wrong. The actress in a viral video was seen chastising two young girls for the ‘crime’ of improper dressing and not wearing bras. She was seen warning all budding actresses to dress properly to her auditions in future or face expulsion. T4T took time to review the clothes worn by the two girls in the video.
Nothing out of the ordinary, different from what you see on the streets, so what was Mama Ngo’s grouse?
Yeni Kuti, dancer, TV host and daughter of legendary Fela Anikulapo did not spare the actress for her public display of morality. Yeni bluntly told her to mind her business as she may have dressed worse when she was the age of those two young girls and T4T agrees with Yeni.
Truth is; Ngozi Ezeonu wanted to be seen as a good ‘mother’. What actually did those two girls wear that warranted her denigrating them publicly? They did not wear bra to the audition, and how and when did not wearing bra become a criminal or moral offence in Nigeria? Aunty Ngo may be just too afraid of competition because she is not in the shelf anymore.
Well, this is an advice to any young girl planning to attend Ngozi Ezeonu’s audition in the future. Tie those two wrappers both Urhobo and Igbo women wear and as icing, also wear a hijab, that automatically will guarantee you a role in her new film. Oh, T4T forgot, also wear two bras and make sure you let her know that you are wearing two bras.
