The Gambia Woos Nigerians For Easter Vacation
THE Gambia Tourism Board has invited Nigerians to come experience the splendour of the country often described as “”the Smiling Coast of Africa”.
The board which is responsible for marketing the Gambia tourism destinations said Easter season is the perfect period to enjoy adventure and exotic Gambian cuisine.
“The Gambia is the place to spend your Easter holiday,” says Gambia Tourism Board Director of Marketing, Mr. Adama Njie.
“The Smiling Coast of Africa is a year round holiday destination, but the Easter break especially offers people the opportunity to spend time with family and loved ones. The Gambia is always home for our brothers and sisters from Nigeria and others willing to take time out to relax, have fun and generally enjoy themselves.
“For Nigerian families, the Cape Point comes highly recommended because of its relaxed feel and excellent beaches ideal for picnics.
He said Nigerians would find the Makasutu Culture Forest, and several other beautiful forest parks in The Gambia, suitable for relaxation, intimacy and comfort.
“The history of The Gambian also presents special attractions for Nigerians, particularly for schools excursions and for others, to enjoy the popular ROOTS experience through visits to the slavery exhibition at the museum in Albreda/Juffureh, before boarding a boat and continuing the journey to the former slave fortress of James Island (Kunta Kinteh Island).
