Nigerian singer and songwriter Reklyn has been introduced to the industry as a wonder kid with his debut single “Stand by you” which seems to be gaining massive traction amongst Afrobeat listeners.

Speaking with The Guardian about music and what fans should expect from him, he said: “I have been a music lover right from my childhood days and I feel I have a lot to offer the industry and to the world at large. Having been writing and composing songs for years that would impact and pass a message to the young generation, I feel my debut single is just a starting point. The world is yet to hear the best of my sound. I am releasing a couple of songs this year and I personally can’t wait for you all to hear it.”

The artist has been linked to collaborations with top Nigerian artistes, and he is one to watch out for this year. He claimed his childhood experiences shaped him to be who he is today.

“My childhood experience was daunting, and everything I have achieved so far is due to the grace of God upon my life, because I came from nothing to something.
“It’s really challenging when you want to be a force to be reckoned with; but a few good people and my lovely family motivated me. My parents did all they could by helping me be the person I wished to be, and they are proud to have me as their own.

“Growing up in an environment with peer group that affects you negatively can be discouraging, but I see all that as an inspiration to be better. In fact, that is part of what built me to who I am today,” he stated.
