
Focused on bringing a community of food lovers together, Food Farm, a quarterly event that showcases varieties of African dishes to attract both local and international tourists, hosted both young and old from all walks of life at the Cedar Center Jibowu Lagos last weekend.
The event also featured a number of food vendors, a ‘Hot and Spicy’ competition where taste buds were put to test by eating really hot and spicy food, a ‘Brew Battle’, which involved a drinking competition, etc.
The highlight was a ‘Cook-off’ competition, which involved contestants who showcased their cooking skills within a given period of time.The winner, Jaachi Ngozi Ngoka, a final year student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) who won the cooking competition with her delicious Nigerian ‘Jollof Rice’ and good culinary skills said: “I found out about the competition a few days before it took-off but didn’t have any idea on what I would be cooking. However, due to my passion for cooking, I was ready for the challenge.”
