As Lagos continues to showcase its landmarks as a tourist attraction with international standard edifices, the city is set to welcome The Art Hotel, a fusion of arts and luxury depicting architectural excellence infused in rich African culture and diversity.

Well situated in one of the prime business districts, Victoria Island, one of the prime business districts with access to mega banks, insurance firms, oil and gas companies and the nerve center of the country’s economy, the Art Hotel provides modern business facilities including conference rooms, boardrooms, and private meeting rooms for both local and international guests.

The Art Hotel, which is billed to officially open on Monday, July 11, 2022, will also generate revenue to locals and bridge unemployment gaps amongst young Nigerians through job creation.

With a team of hospitality experts, the intimate art-deco hotel rooms are well suited for tourists, business travelers, individuals, business sectors, industry leaders and art enthusiasts.

In his remark, Chief Executive Officer of the hotel Mr. Tunji Abdul, said: “We seek to create a skillful fusion of the diverse Nigerian culture with contemporary creativity in our boutique art-deco hotel. The triangulated building of the Art Hotel speaks to the cultural diversity we share in Nigeria. It is an artistic display of how the cultural pieces, indicative of the three major tribes – Igbo Hausa and Yoruba, create the solid foundation for our identity and our uniqueness as a country.

We intend to immerse our guests in luxury through our high-value offerings, and remind them of the beauty in cultural diversity. Also, the artworks displayed in the gallery, lobby, meeting rooms, and the entire guest rooms are majorly crafted by indigenous artists – this is one of our ways of providing job opportunities.”

He continued: “We are working in collaboration with Nike Art Gallery primarily, guests are accorded the opportunity to buy and take home a piece of Nigeria’s culture. The idea is to bring together both in-house and walk-in guests to delight their senses in its culinary prowess and top-tier service. The two restaurants, The Mist and The Cloud restaurants boast of a wide array of appealing food options. The Cloud restaurant is perched nicely on the rooftop overseeing the entire Victoria Island business district. This provides visitors with an opportunity to relax, broker business deals, and enjoy being close to nature. Our vision is to become the leading provider of differentiated boutique Art-Deco hotels in key cities around.”

The art-deco hotel comprises minimalist styled rooms, an elegant lobby with a six-story glass ceiling atrium, lounge, two exquisite dining areas, a well-equipped gymnasium, a trendy rooftop terrace, and a state-of-the-art gallery and sculptural displays.

By way of paying royalty to guests and paying homage to the traditional Oniru ruling house in Lagos, the hotel created suites such as Duke, Duke Superior, Duke Deluxe, Prince suites, and the Emperor suites on the top floor.
