Silky Touch marks 40th anniversary on October 1

A renowned luxury goods centre and fashion consultants, Silky Touch Emporium, would on October 1, this year, celebrate its 40th anniversary with a classic wine-tasting event for men who are classy dressers and fine wine connoisseurs.

From a humble beginning in 1984 on Olowu Street in Ikeja, Lagos, the gentlemen’s clothier has evolved into a unique luxury goods store that parades some of the world-class premium Italian clothes and accessories.

The MD/CEO of Silky Touch, Ogbuefi Victor Okolie, said: “We’ve had a long-term partnership with top Italian brands such as Stefano Ricci, Artioli, Nipmar, Pal Zileri and Moschino is our latest partner.”

This time around, the firm is also presenting sustainable designs for both the young and the young-at-heart. “We are parading classic wears and colours alongside high-fashion items, but remember that luxury commands its price. We are also investing more in quality jewelleries, watches, leather goods and other accessories. These are items that have second-hand value that you can pass from one generation to another. Gold and diamond jewellery, for instance, still have value, no matter how old they are.”

He explained that the wine-tasting experience would feature a collection of exotic Stefano Ricci wines and champagnes and also the presentation of the Royal Suites homeware collection of silverware plates, cutleries, glasses and home furniture.

Okolie noted that, “there would be a good discount for early birds in all our shops in Victoria Island, Ikeja and Abuja.”
