Waka About Africa holds FinTechTour Lecture

With the theme, FinTechTour: Unlocking Opportunities for Nigerian Businesses, the 2022 edition of the Waka About Africa (WAA) annual lecture is set to hold.

  
The event, which is aimed towards forging a warm relationship among finance, technology and tourism professionals and stakeholders, is expected to hold on Thursday, September 22 at the LCCI Conference Centre, Ikeja Lagos.
  
Speaking on the event, the publisher of the magazine, Nwanma Chinyere Ogidi, in a statement, said the lecture, which will be the first of its kind, will bring together policy makers, media groups, professionals and stakeholders in the ICT, finance, aviation, tourism and culture sectors.

“These professionals would interact under one roof to share experiences and unlock opportunities. The objective is to make the three powerhouse sectors: finance, technology and tourism professionals and stakeholders, realise and appreciate the inter-relatedness of these sectors and their importance in the Nigerian economy.”

The Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, will be the Keynote Speaker at the lecture, while Economist, Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji is the Guest Lecturer. Vice-Chancellor, Achievers University, Prof. Samuel Olabanji Aje, will chair the lecture, while Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, is the Special Guest of Honour.
