Afeez Babalola, a multi-talented musician and professional, was born on 31 October 1980 in Lagos State, Nigeria. Growing up in the bustling Egbeda-Akowonjo area of Alimosho, Lagos, Afeez developed a passion for music that would later define his creative journey.

Education Background

Afeez began his academic journey at New Method International Children School in Akowonjo, Lagos. He proceeded to Command Day Secondary School, Military Cantonment, Ikeja, Lagos State, for his secondary education.

For his higher education, Afeez studied Accounting at Lagos State University, Ojo. He later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Akoka. Further enhancing his professional credentials, Afeez became an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Professional Career

Before relocating to the United States, Afeez worked for seven years at the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service as a Tax Auditor and Tax Assessment Officer.

Upon moving to the US, he broadened his expertise by earning associate degrees in Cybersecurity and Digital Media Production from Wayne County Community College District, Detroit, Michigan. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at Trine University, Indiana.

Music Career

Afeez’s passion for music can be traced back to his early years attending Arabic school, where he first discovered his love for rhythm and melody.

In 2010, he recorded his first track, Olaiday Mi. Since then, Afeez has released several songs, including Birthday Song, Gratitude, Happy Birthday, and Ojabo Ko’fo—his debut single currently available on all major streaming platforms. His music has garnered positive reviews and widespread acceptance, cementing his position as a rising independent artist.
