And the set the ball rolling for the New Year, the Nigeria/South-Africa based music star is set to hit the African music scene with another hip-hop banger, Champagne Showers.

No doubt, the song will definitely solidify artiste’s position as one who is here to stay. Meanwhile, the video for Champagne Showers was shot on locations in Cape Town, South Africa.
Born Emmanuel Nwankwo, Emmy Gee began rapping in the streets of Nigeria as a teen and has previously featured on songs like Can’t Stop My Shine by Young Slugz and appeared on Another Planet by Gambit.
A one-time winner of the MTV Iggy Artist of Week, the Nigerian has been living in Johannesburg since 2002. He got into music at the age of 16 when he said his vows to music and the ring is still on his finger; he lives by his vow “till death do us part”.
Emmy Gee has also opened for international acts like Big Sean and Kendrick Lamar. His debut single, Rands and Naira was produced by Christian Arceo, a perfect blend of vocals with the artiste delivering a powerful invitation to pamper his female fans, while showering them with opulence in his home country’s city called Lagos.
The track features Ab Crazy on the hook as well as a verse and Dj Dimplez does an incredible intro and outro. This hit track has a balanced blend of Nigerian flavor spiced with an Mzansi feel. Emmy Gee is signed on TeamTalkLess Entertainment, which is co-owned alongside Nosa Ogbemudia and Nigerian hit maker Shizzi real name Seyi Akerele, who is credited for making music for Wizkid, Davido, Maye Hunter, and Wande Coal.
The outfit consists of talented artistes and a state of the art recording studio in Nigeria. It is made up of experienced individuals who fuse music, entertainment, fashion and business with the aim of spicing up the entertainment industry in the whole continent of Africa.
The music video is currently on Trace TV, MTV Base and Channel O and has been received very well by the masses in South Africa as well as in Nigeria. The video was shot over two days by Molotov Cocktail late December 2013.
