Afro-Fusion singer and self-acclaimed King of Apala New Skool, Terry Alexandar Ejeh, better known by his stage moniker, Terry Apala, has announced that his highly anticipated Extended Play (EP) titled, Not Guilty, will be released on Friday, August 15.
The No Sege, Apala Wifi crooner made the announcement on Monday, August 4, sharing the EP’s cover art, which features a mock police lineup and newspaper clippings, referencing his arrest. The announcement comes months after the widely reported encounter of the music act with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fusing his signature Apala-trap sound with raw storytelling, the four-track project is a defiant and reflective response to his recent run-in with the EFCC, following his controversial arrest in April for alleged naira mutilation.
With tracks like Not Guilty, Jail Tales, Grace in Disguise, and Echoes of Pain, the EP explores themes of injustice, fame, and resilience in the face of public scrutiny. All tracks produced and mixed by Flamez, the project marks a significant moment for Terry Apala, using his artistic platform to respond to a real-life controversy.
