On-the-rise music artist, Japhet Attah Egwumah a.k.a Japhman has shared the story of how his croony, Donblaqwifi featured him on his hit single “Yan Matter”, revealing it was the first single he ever got featured in.
He said, “Before producing the song, Donblaqwifi and I had a conversation in which we agreed that music is the best medium to tell people about your life story and the struggles you’ve faced. Now, listeners are easily carried away by the best and tend to miss the messages within songs. I believe that they should slow down and take some more time to listen attentively to the lyrics. Music is life and it should be given a lot more thought.
Yan Matter, which was released in 2021 under Dope Records, was the first song I ever featured on. It was produced by Dostiks, a Dallas master producer who has worked with many amazing artists,” he added.
Since the song got released, it has been enjoying rave reviews from different quarters. It depicts Donblaqwifi and Japhman as a duo who hold great possibilities in terms of collaboration given their amazing chemistry on the song.
Explaining what the song entails, Japhman avers, “The song ‘Yan Matter’ simply talks about speaking your mind and letting people know who you are, what struggles you’ve encountered, your mindset, your beliefs and your hustle. It also touches on the positive side of life.”
