Fast-rising singer, Obieze Prince, better known as Leeobi, has stepped out with a soothing soul-stirring jam dubbed, Kpo. The record, which is a blend of guitar melodies, and soothing Afro-pop rhythms, sees Leeobi pontificate about “making money,” as well as surviving in the world.

“Life would hit you hard. It would hit you fast. I wrote this song to express how I felt at a certain point in time. I just see these realities around me, and they inspire me,” he tells Weekend Beats.

Citing Runtown, Adele, among others, as his musical influences, he describes himself as a versatile musician with a penchant for creating timeless music. “Music allows me to connect with my inner self,” he says, explaining his introduction into music.

He also envisions a lingering career, where his creativity “would help him create more impactful music, and connect with my adventurous side. Music can’t really be boxed in any genre. So, I would like to explore very much.”
