Growing up in a family of five with a single mother, SOTA witnessed firsthand, the struggles that his mother endured to provide for her children. Motivated by his desire to succeed and wipe away his mother’s tears, he embarked on a musical journey that would soon captivate audiences worldwide.
 
Born Chukwudi Victor Otubelu, SOTA is making waves with his energetic and melodic sound, propelling him to the forefront of the music industry.
 
Self-taught and driven by an insatiable curiosity, he honed his skills by watching online tutorials, learning the intricacies of recording, producing, mixing and mastering his music.
 
Before fully delving into the realm of music, SOTA surprised many with his acting talent at the age of seven, featuring in a Nigerian movie titled The Successor. This experience, coupled with his passion for music, provided him with a unique perspective on storytelling and further fueled his creativity.
 
Asked about his influences in the music industry, SOTA said Jay-Z and 50 Cent influenced him tremendously, prompting him to establish his record label and take control of every aspect of his career. As he would say “I’m hands-on.”
 
No Friends and B Nah, have showcased SOTA’s exceptional talent as a lyricist, producer, and sound engineer.
