With new app, Lyvads boosts economy, deepens content creators, businesses connection

Stakeholders in the content creation world, last weekend, converged on Cafe One Victoria Island, Lagos for the launching of a game-changing app, Lyvads. The app promises to revolutionise the way businesses, content creators and people connect. The platform also allows users the access to personalised content of their favourite influencers.

Speaking at the launch, Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development, Mr. Sadiq Rabiu, represented by Enitan Osunsanya, said Lyvads has heralded homegrown innovation that transforms how institutions, businesses and creators connect.

“As Nigeria seeks to build an economy powered by innovation, technology, and youth potential, initiatives like Lyvads are not just platforms, they are pathways to the future of work. They reflect the creativity and resilience of our people, and they signal Nigeria’s readiness to lead Africa’s digital transformation,” Rabiu said.

The CEO and founder of Lyvads, Abiodun Owotomo, who spoke at the event via a pre-recorded video, recounted the story of what gave birth to the platform. He said that the failure to reach an influencer via conventional platforms was what brought the idea of Lyvads into existence.

“We thought there should be something that would be able to connect creators, influencers, businesses, and individuals all seamless in one ecosystem,” Owotomo said.

Before the app’s launch, there was a demonstration to show features of the app. Some of the features include the app’s wallet system for payments, verified creator profiles and the apps filter feature, among others.

According to the Product Manager, Lyvads, David Goriola, the brand stands out from others because it offers transparency in terms of pricing, and the skillset of creators. He also stated there are measures in place to ensure the protection of user data. He added, “currently we have a license that speaks to that. For Lyvads, everything on the backend is encrypted. Even we don’t have access to all those information. Everything at the backend is encrypted. Every single data is encrypted.”

Also speaking, the Brand and Marketing Manager for Lyvads, Adebisi Peters, described the platform as a solution to creators. His words: “We are now live and we provide the ultimate access you need to personalise moments, the ultimate access you need to get quality content for your business without having to worry.”

A content creator, Temi Kosoko, also said the app is easy to navigate and that what it provides is what makes it different from other platforms.
