
Twelve-year-old rapper, Makayla Malaka, thrilled her audience at her first concert held in Lagos recently.The youngster delivered an unforgettable live performance that solidified her status as one of Africa’s most promising acts to watch out for.
Tagged ‘Makayla Malaka in Concert’, the event featured an array of other kid stars, such as Ugandan internet sensation, Rango Tenge-Tenge and Ghetto-Kids. Guests were also thrilled by talented saxophonist Temilayo Abodunrin, Star Kids, and the hilarious combination of Emmanuella and Sister Success, among several other talented superstars.
Expressing gratitude after the event, Makayla said: “I’m super excited about the outcome of the concert. I couldn’t have done it without God, my parents, my manager, the production team, as well as Rango Tenge-Tenge, Ghetto Kids, Emmanuella, Sister Success, Temilayo and all the artists and entertainers that graced the stage. I also appreciate everyone who came out to support me.”
Makayla dropped her 5th studio album titled ‘Twelve’ on June 27, 2024. The 10-track all-rap album includes ‘Watch Out’, ‘Bounce’, ‘Hard Work Pays’, and ‘I Don Try’, all of which were performed with a live band at the concert.
The moment she stepped on stage, guests were transported on a euphoric musical journey, from her hit single “I’m Not A Morning Person” to the new songs on the current album.
