As part of activities to mark his 3o years on stage as a comedian, Alibaba is patnering with Servant-In-Charge of Aunt Landa Bethel Foundation Dr Yolanda N George-David (Ph.D.) for a new project tagged Alibaba Feeds 30,000 Families. The initiative is in honour of the comedian’s 30th year anniversary on stage, which kicked off on October 1, 2018.

According to Aunt Landa, the main objective of this campaign is to provide food and necessities for thirty thousand homeless and underprivileged families, who live in different communities across the nation.

The humanitarian took to her Instagram page to make the announcement – in a caption accompanied by an artwork for the campaign, she wrote: “I’m so excited about this campaign because Alibaba is one person that has helped in putting smiles on the faces of so many people with his jokes and celebrating thirty years on stage is a big deal for not just him, but also for everyone at Aunt Landa Bethel Foundation. Alibaba has been a fair chairman of the foundation; hence, we would be providing thirty thousand underprivileged families with food and necessities, which will in turn; make life more bearable for them as well as put smiles on their faces.”

The veteran comedian also took to his page to make the announcement to his almost 700,000 fans, asserting the numerous benefits the campaign will provide for free. He also stated that the project, which was launched on Independence Day, would run all through the last quarter of the year, wrapping up with the Aunt Landa’s Market Square as the grand finale on December 31, 2018.

The Aunt Landa Market Square, since its inception, has amassed over 20,000 beneficiaries; granting them access to the market where foodstuff, healthcare, training & workshop, among others are provided for free not just to give a meaningful life to the needy but to also restitute them to be better members of the society.
