Digital Music Commerce and Exchange (DMCE) is proud to announce that its groundbreaking digital product, SyncAll, has been recognized as the 2nd Runner-Up for the Most Innovative Solution at the prestigious AfCFTA Hackathon, initiated by the Nigeria AfCFTA Coordination Office during the Science of Trade Conference 2025. This award highlights SyncAll’s potential to revolutionize the African music industry and drive significant growth in the continent’s digital economy.
The AfCFTA Hackathon brought together 60 talented teams to develop innovative solutions that foster intra-African trade, digital commerce, and cross-border collaboration. SyncAll stood out for its practical and scalable approach to enhancing African digital solutions, earning mentorship and special recognition.
SyncAll is a dedicated digital platform designed to curate, enrich, and manage comprehensive metadata for African music and sound. By addressing the challenges of unclaimed royalties, limited global discoverability, cultural erosion, incomplete metadata, and inefficient licensing processes, SyncAll unlocks the vast potential of African music and sound for global opportunities.
“This recognition from the AfCFTA Hackathon is a tremendous honor and validation of our team’s hard work and vision,” said Ezekiel Olayinka, the General Manager at Digital Music Commerce and Exchange(DMCE). “SyncAll is positioned to transform the African music landscape by providing a centralized platform that connects creators, streamlines licensing, and promotes discoverability on a global scale.”
SyncAll’s key features include a quasi human and AI-driven metadata enrichment processes, comprehensive search and advanced filtering, an integrated platform for commercial licensing, and transparent royalties collections and claiming. These functionalities empower African musicians and rights holders to effectively monetize their work and expand their reach.
The platform’s user-friendly interface and focus on detailed metadata, including genre, mood, instruments, language, and cultural context, further enhance its value for both creators and users.
SyncAll is committed to aggregating 25% of African music and audio metadata in West Africa by 2028 and facilitating over 200 licensing deals by the end of 2025.
This ambitious goal aligns with the AfCFTA’s objectives of fostering economic growth and cultural exchange across the continent.
As a Founding Member of the Nigeria AfCFTA Startup Academy, SyncAll will gain access to special funding opportunities, tailored programmatic support, technology credits, and cross-border linkages. This support will further accelerate SyncAll’s growth and impact on the African creative industry.
