Bayern finalise loan-to-purchase deal for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson

Bayern Munich and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of forward Nicolas Jackson in a deal structured as a loan with an obligation to buy.

The arrangement, which comes after a previous agreement collapsed, sets out detailed financial terms for both clubs and reflects ongoing negotiations over player contracts and transfer obligations.

Under the newly agreed terms, Bayern Munich will pay Chelsea a loan fee of £14.25 million (€16.4 million) for Jackson, with a compulsory purchase set at £56.25 million (€65 million) to be executed next summer.

The deal marks a revision from the earlier deal, which included an option to buy rather than an obligation, and follows Chelsea’s decision to withdraw from the original agreement due to an injury sustained by striker Liam Delap in a match against Fulham.

Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol noted that the revised arrangement “ensures Bayern secures the player on a permanent basis while accommodating Chelsea’s contractual requirements regarding squad depth and injury contingencies.”

Jackson, who has featured for Chelsea in recent international club competitions, is expected to join Bayern immediately under the loan terms, pending completion of medical examinations and registration formalities.
