Over six West African countries are in Abuja for the 13th West Africa Deaf Football/Third Athletics Championships, which began officially on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
The technical committee meeting, which featured all the participating countries, was held on Tuesday to resolve all the potential areas of dispute.
Packaged by the West Africa Deaf Sports Union (WADSU), led by Amuda Yusuf Ibrahim, the two-week championship is holding at the Package ‘A’ of the MKO Abiola Stadium in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African states (ECOWAS).
The event, which will end on August 30, was declared open by Ibrahim, who officially welcomed all the participants before the technical committee meeting.
