Eagles qualification for 2018 World Cup in Russia depends on players’ determination, says NFF
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has declared that the ability of the Super Eagles to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup, depends on the ability of the players to be committed to secure the ticket when the qualifier campaign begins.
Speaking in the wake of the appointment of Gernot Rohr, as the new foreign technical adviser to the Eagles, federation secretary , Salisu Muhammed, stated that the series of friendly games played sofar by team, has justified that must of the young players in the team are ready to fight for the World Cup ticket.
He explained that the task before the NFF is to fashion out a well tailored programme for the Super Eagles to succeed in the campaign,adding that Nigeria has abundant talents that can revamp the Eagles.
“I don’t what to comment now on the Eagles new technical adviser, I can say the NFF has already began making plans for the Super Eagles to have the best of preparations ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Based on the international friendlies played in the past, you will realize that the young players are ready to make a mark in the team.Getting the World Cup ticket depends on the level of seriousness and resilience of the players.We are not relenting to assist the Eagles in any capacity to qualify for the 2018 World ” he said.
The Super Eagles will face Cameron, Algeria and Zambia in group B, in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers billed to commence across Africa later this year.
