LACK of athletics facilities has been identified as a major challenge to sports development in the country.

Speaking in Ogun State at the second inter-house sport competition organised by Enlight Academy Groups of Schools, the Chairman National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Sagamu Local Council, Prince Adejuwon David, called on the administration of Governor Ibikunle Amosun to give priority to athletics to encourage both students in public and private schools.

Adejuwon, who is also Proprietor/ Executive Director of ACAD Schools, expressed dismay over high level of tax imposed by Ogun State government on private schools operating in the state, arguing that it does not encourage private school operators to focus as an institution but rather as a business venture.

He called on government to look into the plight of private schools in the state for effective development.

Speaking also was the Proprietress, Enlight Academy, Mrs. Olorunleke Modupe, who commended the White House for winning the inter-house sport competition, which Yellow House came second followed by the Pink House respectively.
