EnyimbaDEFENDING champions, Kano Pillars and second-placed team at the end of the 2013/2014 season, Enyimba of Aba, are expected to continue their rise on the Glo Premier League table when they confront Gabros of Nnewi and El Kanemi Warriors in Kano and Aba respectively.

Pillars and Enyimba recorded away wins against Abia Warriors and Dolphins respectively in Week Nine and are expected to continue their winning streak today.

But the match between Pillars and Gabros will not be an easy one as the Nnewi boys have shown that they are ready for the big fights in their debut season.

Gabros are second on the league table on 17 points, the same with leaders, Sunshine Stars, which occupies the number one spot on superior goals aggregate.

In other games, Sharks will host Giwa FC, while Taraba FC will entertain Dolphins, just as Bayelsa United face Wikki Tourists.

Bottom-placed Lobi Stars will battle Heartland, Akwa United face 3SC, Rangers battle Nasarawa United and leaders, Sunshine Stars host Kwara United, while CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Warri Wolves will meet Abia Warriors.

Meanwhile, the league will go on break for the second time this season after today’s games. As a result, all Week 11 matches earlier slated for Sunday, May 24 will be rescheduled.

According to an LMC official, “Teams will proceed on break due to the inauguration of the new government in the country and it will afford the League Management Company a chance to enforce minimum requirements for registration.”
