One of Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) major partners, Nigerian Breweries Plc, on Thursday lifted the spirits of players and officials of Super Eagles, who unexpectedly lost a Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier 0-1 to Central African Republic in Lagos.

The firm, which organised a dinner aimed at reassuring the team that they can ‘turn things around’ in the reverse fixture tomorrow in Cameroun, assured the Super Eagles of its support at all times.

At the dinner, NBL, through its product, 33 Export Lager, the official beer of the Super Eagles, presented Kelechi Iheanacho a N1million cheque for emerging the Most Valuable Player in the earlier home game against Liberia in September.

Iheanacho’s double gave the Super Eagles the three maximum points on Match day one in the fixture.

The Leicester of England star was presented the award by NB Plc’s Head of Media Strategy, Wasiu Ola Abiola and Senior Brand Manager, Aisha Aniekwe.

To add spice to the event, popular musician, ‘M1’ thrilled the players and guests with some of his hit songs. He expressed his conviction in the team’s ability to finish as leaders of Group C and eventually secure the ticket to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
